Cryptocurrency platform FTX has declared bankruptcy in the US and its chief executive (CEO) Sam Bankman-Fried has resigned from his designation.
According to the report, this is being termed the biggest loss a person has ever suffered in cryptocurrency. Sam Bankman Freud has lost $16 billion dollars in just a few days.
It should be noted that Sam Bankman-Fried owned the cryptocurrency exchange FTX and became a billionaire at a young age, but he recently suffered a loss that Bloomberg described as the worst loss ever by an individual.
Doubts about FTX’s financial stability were already growing in Washington, despite Bankman Freud’s good standing in the crypto-investment world, the report noted. Sam Fried owned trillions of rupees and in the next few days his crypto exchange company FTX collapsed and the account became zero. On Friday, the company declared bankruptcy and Sam also stepped down as chief executive of another company, SBF.
Sam, 30, was worth $26 billion as of the spring of this year and most of his assets were digital, specifically cryptocurrencies. Apart from FTX, he also owned Alameda, and other companies. However, in July 2022, the company’s assets began to dwindle rapidly.
Although Sam has also been a pioneer in charity and aid issues and has donated $160 million so far. However, the declining reputation of FTX and cryptocurrency has almost left them destitute.
