KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has claimed that real democracy cannot come in the country without an independent parliament.
Addressing the lawyers, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that PPP is a party of the poor and we have come out against the present system. He said that allegations have also been leveled against former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and former president Asif Ali Zardari but such allegations are not new to us and we are not afraid, the PPP chairman said.
The PPP stands against undemocratic forces and we only have to fight for the rule of law, Bilawal maintained. “Lawyers have always stood by us on every front and will not be left alone,” he said. The PPP launched a movement for the supremacy of the constitution and democracy, he further added.

The PPP chairman said that they still stand with the democratic forces against the government’s revenge and if the Leader of the Opposition is not allowed to speak in the parliament then we will be forced out, he added.
“When the problems of the people are not solved, we will take to the streets and until the parliament is free, there will be no real democracy in the country.” he said. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also instructed the participants to wear masks during the ceremony.
