Rawalpindi Railway officers indulge in black-marketing of tickets

RAWALPINDI: City’s Railway officers have indulged in black-marketing of train tickets, as higher amounts are being extorted from the passengers for tickets.

According to details, the City’s Railway officers have stopped issuing tickets from the Railway booking office. Sources have informed that ticket checker and female ticket collector are issuing tickets by illegally charging higher fares.

A Rawalpindi resident, who wanted to travel to Multan, informed that he was trying to book seats for his family to travel but Railways officials told him they did not have any seats available.

He also said that other Railways officials were openly offering more expensive tickets outside the reservations office.

The passengers have appealed to Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid and concerned authorities to take notice of the matter and take immediate action against the corrupt officers.  

It is pertinent to mention here that all means of transportation is being resumed. There will no longer be any restrictions on the number of trains and planes operating.
