Speaking to the media outside the Supreme Court on Tuesday, he said that the country was facing both economic and political crises, adding that holding free and fair elections in all assemblies simultaneously across the country was necessary.
He was making these comments ahead of Supreme Court’s verdict, due anytime today, in elections’ delay case. The three judges bench led by Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial had reserved the judgement on Monday, with directives to Secretary Defense to submit sealed report today (Tuesday).
MM News has learnt that the Secretary Defense has already submitted his report this morning, which was being examined by the judges of the Apex Court.

Rana Sanaullah claimed that the stance for a full court to hear the elections’ delay case was supported by the entire nation and bars, and that the entire nation expected Chief Justice to dispense justice that is visible to all. He demanded that the verdict of the case, which is expected to be delivered today, should be decided by a full court bench, citing similar demands made from within the judiciary.
The Interior Minister also warned that holding elections in only two provinces would push the country into anarchy and chaos. The current political situation has left the country in turmoil, and Sanaullah stressed the need for a resolution that can restore stability and progress.
