KARACHI: The crescent for the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal moon was sighted and will commence from Wednesday October 30, and subsequently Eid-i-Miladun Nabi will be observed on November 10.
According to sources, the announcement was made after a meeting of the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee chaired by Mufti Muneeb-ur -Rehman announced on Tuesday evening. Religious scholars from all schools of thought and weather experts also attended the meeting.
The meetings of zonal committees were also held in all big cities of the country. Mufti Muneeb announced the sighting of the moon after receiving multiple testimonies from across the country, added sources.
