Dharejo said that in his view, this was exactly the approach that developed countries have followed and been reaping benefits. “Through such interventions, not only the industry gets a chance to find human resources as per the quality criteria of their work needs but also the trainees get so learn the real-time world-of-work experience,” he said.
Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said that limited cooperation between the public and the private sector for TVET governance, resulting a gap between demand and supply of skilled workforce, limited role of business and industry in TVET planning and delivery, and an inadequate system of assessing the labour market needs are key challenges still in front of us and we need more and more partnerships like this to mitigate such challenges.
He was sure that if the legacy of this kind of work continues, the commitment of the private sector remains intact, and the support of donors and our development partners continues than these challenges will easily vanish soon and we will see a flourishing economy in this province through more jobs and self-employment.
