The Sindh government on Thursday announced a public holiday on April 4 on the occasion of the death anniversary of former prime minister and late Pakistan Pakistan Peoples (PPP) founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
The provincial authorities have issued a notification announcing that April 4, 2024 (Thursday) will be observed as a public holiday throughout the Province of Sindh in honor of the 45th Martyrdom anniversary of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Ex-Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
All government offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the provincial government’s jurisdiction, excluding those involved in essential services, will remain closed on this day.
Furthermore, April 1st has been declared a public holiday specifically for the Christian community in celebration of the “Day After Easter.” This holiday applies to all public and private offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, and corporations under the administrative control of the Sindh government.
