Pakistan was not made for a ‘selected bunch’, says Imran
PTI chief Imran Khan has said Pakistan was not made for a “small group of occupiers” to do as it deemed fit and reiterated the need for the supremacy of law in the country.
Speaking to 92 News, he expressed sadness over the fact that the country’s laws differed for the powerful and the defenseless.
Talking about, what Imran called the mistreatment of politicians and journalists, the former premier said that murdered journalist Arshad Sharif was aware of threats to his life even while he was abroad referring to Arshad’s communication with Shireen Mazari.

‘We want elections, not interference’, says Imran
Former Prime Minister and PTI chief Imran Khan has stressed that his party only demand is elections, and they are not seeking “interference”.
When asked about the historical practice of an intervention by a third power between two sides, he said while talking to Dunya News; “We don’t want meddling; we want elections. The intervention is being sought by those who can’t run in elections and don’t have the backing of the people.”
“It is they who want to backdoor [talks] and beg America.” He said apparently referring to the current administration.

I have a lot to say but I won’t for I don’t want to harm army: Imran
Imran Khan has said that he’s only silent because he doesn’t want to hurt the army.
Speaking to Geo News, he said: “I want our army to become a strong institution and that no harm comes its way. I want to say a lot and I can say a lot, but I don’t want Pakistan’s enemies to take advantage [of it]. I don’t want that anything I say causes any damage to the army.”

He also said the nation was united and had decided not to accept the “robbers imposed on them through a foreign conspiracy”.
“They also reject anyone who try to aid them. People are opposing their facilitators as well,” he continued, adding that it was now obvious where the country stood.
“And as this march goes towards Islamabad,” he added “it will become evident to all where the nation is standing – they want free and fair elections and will not tolerate these criminals under any circumstances.”

Shireen Mazari salutes People’s ‘strong reaction’ to ‘threats’
PTI leader Shireen Mazari praised the nation’s “strong reaction” to “pressers and threats” as the PTI long march neared the end of its first day. She was presumably alluding to a joint press conference held by the directors general of the Inter-Services Public Relations and Intelligence on Thursday.
What a start to Azadi March in Lahore. Nation has spoken & no amount of pressers & threats from any quarter can change this reality. What has been amazing has been the strong reaction to such pressers & threats from citizens I met this morning in Liberty. #حقیقی_آزادی_لانگ_مارچ pic.twitter.com/nV7DlhxrTP

“We want justice, which offers freedom,” he continued.
In this regard, he called attention to “killings” of journalists, most notably Arshad Sharif, and the alleged mistreatment of PTI Senator Azam Swati while she was being held.
“We want justice from all of them because of how Azam Swati was treated by agencies and the aliases he adopted today.” he said.
