SIALKOT: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) call to protest was proof of the state enmity.
Drawing comparisons to previous PTI actions, federal minister Asif pointed out that the party had disrupted national events in the past, such as during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
He also cited predictions given by the late Dr Israr Ahmed and Hakeem Saeed, who had warned about PTI’s anti-Islamic stance.
Khawaja Asif highlighted that a provincial government had used state machinery against the federal administration. He highlighted that PTI’s slogan “No Khan, No Pakistan” as Shandana Gulzar cried reflects a dangerous mindset that prioritises the party leader’s power over the country’s welfare.
He also accused PTI of failing to condemn terrorism and reviving the violent spirit of the May 9 incidents. The Defence Minister expressed concern that the party seeks to block the nation’s progress. He also criticised the judiciary for offering undue relief to PTI’s top brass.
Asif also talked about the nation’s economy, claiming that inflation was declining. While praising Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his performance across various sectors he warned that the state would use all necessary measures to prevent any disruption on October 15.
