ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to file a reference seeking to deseat the disgruntled Member of the Punjab Assembly (MPA) Momina Waheed.
It may be recalled that speaking to a private TV channel, Momina Waheed had claimed on Tuesday that seven to eight MPs were not happy with the party’s top leadership, and at least 20 PTI MPAs would not vote in favour of CM Punjab Pervaiz Elahi.
However, she said “whenever PTI Chairman Imran Khan asks to resign as MPA, I will tender my resignation.”
Responding to Momina Waheed’s allegations, Fawad Chaudhry said Momina Waheed had been given time to meet the PTI leadership and prove her stance.
Fawad Chaudhry alleged that MPA Waheed was telling lies as she stayed in contact with the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and received money from the ruling coalition.
