Karachi: A political consensus has been reached between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F).
JUI Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has requested a written guarantee from PTI for the political alliance.
According to sources, PTI founder Imran Khan has approved the formation of a committee that will include Opposition Leader Omar Ayub, Senator Shibli Faraz, Chairman Barrister Gohar, and Asad Qaiser.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman has assured the formation of the committee after consulting JUI’s central executive committee.
Sources from JUI indicate that PTI and JUI have agreed on four key points. Both parties have concurred on ending the establishment’s role in the country’s politics, upholding the constitution, and collaboratively resolving provincial resources and issues.
Additionally, both parties have agreed to maintain long-standing relations with Afghanistan as part of their political consensus.
