Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Saturday expressed hope for the early release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and called for protests on the streets across the country.
Addressing a public gathering in Swabi, the PTI Chairman declared the party’s power show a referendum against the so-called mandate-stealing government while making predictions about Imran Khan’s future.
Barrister Gohar Ali Khan stated that PTI would take to the streets, as they demand the release of Imran Khan. He also expressed his grief over the Balochistan explosion and voiced concerns about the political situation in the country.
“How can politics move forward and peace be restored if they are keeping Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, behind bars?” he questioned.
Raising further concerns about the country’s political scenario, he mentioned that PTI was strengthening the country’s judiciary. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was also among the leaders who addressed the gathering.
Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur vowed to secure the release of Imran Khan, the PTI founder, declaring that PTI leadership is ready to sacrifice its lives for Imran Khan. He said, “Even if lives are lost, we will not rest until Imran Khan is released.”
