Prince Rahim al-Hussaini Aga Khan, known as the Aga Khan V, has offered mediation between Pakistan and Indian to defuse the ongoing tensions between the two South Asian countries.
As per the media reports, the Aga Khan has written letters to the Prime Ministers of Pakistan and Indian and has expressed concern over the rising tensions between the two countries. He has expressed his wish to play the role of mediator for de-escalating the current situation.
He wrote: ” I pray that the dispute be resolved peacefully so that further casualties be avoided.”
As per the media report, the Aga Khan has also written a similar letter to the Secretary General of the United Nations and has expressed his concern over Pak Indian war.
It should be noted that following Indian aggression and killing of innocent Pakistanis, including children, the Pakistan Army has launched Operation Bunyan un Marsoos against the Indian Army and destroyed several military installations across Indian in the early hours of Saturday.
