KARACHI: The government has decided to increase the prices of petrol from 1st November.
According to sources, the rise in the value of the dollar in the country and the rising price of oil in the world market has raised fears that petroleum products in the country will become more expensive.
According to sources, from 1st November, petrol in the country may become more expensive by Rs 7 per liter, while the price of diesel is expected to increase by up to Rs 9 per liter.

It may be recalled that the government fixes the price of petrol every 15 days. On 16th October, the prices of petroleum products were increased to Rs 12 per liter.
It should be noted that petrol is currently being sold in Pakistan at a price of more than Rs 138 per liter, while today it has crossed the level of 17.5.
Sources said that further increase in petroleum prices in the country would also increase inflation which would have a direct impact on the poor.
