KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari has instructed to complete the Karachi Safe City Project on a war footing put up a fence on the Northern Bypass and asked the police to find out where the stolen vehicles and mobile phones are going from Karachi.
President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari while presiding over an important meeting regarding law and order in the Chief Minister House directed Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to launch a large-scale operation against street criminals, bandits, and drug dealers in Karachi. To achieve this goal, close links should be established with other provinces.
President Asif Ali Zardari said that illegal occupation of lands will not be tolerated in any case and he wants to end this series forever. He urged the Sindh Chief Minister to fix a period for the appointment of police officers and at the same time monitor their performance and if they fail, they should be removed.
President Asif Zardari directed the Sindh Chief Minister to provide foolproof security to foreign nationals living and working in Sindh. He particularly stressed the safety of Chinese nationals working on CPEC-related projects.

Chief Minister Sindh extended a warm welcome to President Asif Ali Zardari at the Chief Minister House and told him that the law and order situation has improved in Karachi due to the operation against street crime and raw criminals. In this regard, he mentioned the Iranian President’s visit to Karachi and the peaceful conduct of his one-day stay.
He said that the holding of PSL and international cricket matches and religious events are a reflection of the better law and order situation. Murad Ali Shah, while briefing the President, asked him to keep a close eye on the law and order situation in the province. These have been held and meetings are held from time to time in this regard and instructions are also given to the law enforcers.
