ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi has warned India not to carry out any false flag action against Pakistan.
While addressing a seminar titled “Radical India vs Responsible Pakistan” today, Dr. Arif Alvi said that India had never answered to Pakistan’s gestures of peace.
Talking about Indian occupied Kashmir, the president said that Pakistan would never compromise on the Kashmir issue.
He further said that we would stand by the Kashmiri people and will never abandon them. The occupied valley was unfinished agenda of the partition, he added.
While commenting on the surprise day, the president said that he was proud of the country’s armed forces, which befittingly responded to the Indian aggression on 27th February last year.
The nation is celebrating the ‘Surprise Day’ today as it marks a year to Pakistan shooting down two Indian jets.
On this day, Pakistan and India fought in an aerial dogfight after two Indian jets violated the airspace of Pakistan on Line Of Control (LoC) and in return, Pakistan shot down its two Indian jets.
During that operation, the Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman was also arrested by the forces after his Mig-21 was shot down. The pilot was later handed over to Indian authorities as a goodwill gesture.
