Israeli media has claimed that a Pakistani diplomatic delegation is in Israel on a secret visit, which will meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog later this week.
According to the Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post , the Pakistani delegation is headed by Pakistani-American Dr. Naseem Ashraf, who was the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board between 2006 and 2008.
Dr. Naseem Ashraf was the Chairman of the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) and Minister of State in the government of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to the report, during the visit to Israel, the Pakistani delegation, including a Karachi-based journalist, was given tours across Israel.
Earlier in June, Pakistani journalist Ahmed Qureshi was fired from his show on Pakistan’s state television for visiting Israel a month earlier.
Senior anchorperson Shaukat Paracha says in this regard that the said delegation did not go to Israel from Pakistan and cannot go, because the Pakistani passport does not allow it. This is an unofficial private delegation that left America for Israel.
However, contrary to the Israeli claim, no information has been revealed regarding the participants in the delegation.
