ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Raja Pervez Ashraf has been tested positive for coronavirus.
His son Khurram Pervaiz Raja tweeted that the former premier has quarantined himself. He also requested for early recovery of the PPP leader.

National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairperson Lt General Muhammad Afzal has also tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to the notification, the NDMA chief has been in quarantine since November 9 and is currently undergoing treatment. The test was conducted on November 8 after being in contact with a relative who was also reported coronavirus positive.
Lt Gen Afzal will carry out his official duties from his home. “He is quarantined since 9th Nov and being treated by Brig Arshad. He will continue office work from home,” the NDMA confirmed on its official Twitter handle.

On Thursday, Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth died due to COVID-19 on after battling the coronavirus for fifteen days.
He was first admitted to a hospital in Peshawar but later was shifted to Kulsum International Hospital where he died due to Covid-19 related complications.
He belonged to a business family of Dera Ismail Khan on March 16, 1961. Justice Seth has been the Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court since June 28, 2018.
Additional Sessions Judge Lahore Azfar Sultan Syed passed away due to coronavirus. The judge had tested positive a few days ago after which his chamber was closed.
None of his staff is said to have tested positive for the virus. The notification of the judge’s demise was issued by the Lahore High Court.
