KARACHI: K-Electric has cut off the power supply to Pakistan Railways due to non-payment of outstanding dues worth over Rs 400 million.
“We cannot continue power supply to Pakistan Railways without clearance of outstanding payments,” stated a K-Electric spokesperson.
According to the spokesman, PR owes Rs. 430 million in unpaid bills for 31 electricity connections.
PR needs to pay their bills immediately if they want the power to be restored, the spokesperson said.
According to the spokesman, despite repeated notices and reminders, the Pakistan Railways department has failed to pay their dues.
