ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the alliance of political parties in the Army Amendment Act was a mirror of democracy.
In a series of tweets, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan posted that the positive role of political parties towards the Army Amendment Act was a mirror of the high parliamentary democratic tradition.

Awan in another tweet wrote, “A solid bond among political parties is a wonderful demonstration of political harmony and a clear message to the enemies of the country that Pakistan is united in protecting important issues and national interests.”

She added, “We need to promote an atmosphere of harmony and solidarity for the betterment in the region.”
Earlier on Tuesday, Awan said that mutual harmony was required by all political parties in view of the current situation in the country.
She, in a tweet, posted that Pakistan has always overcome challenges through unity and unity. She said that the standing defense committee’s unanimous approval of the Army Act bill was proof that we were all united for the interests of the country.
