The Sindh Police, in partnership with the National Police Foundation (NPF), has announced initiatives to offer affordable housing plots and interest-free electric motorcycles to police officers in the province.
This announcement was made at an event held at Police Headquarters Garden South, attended by IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, Additional IG Karachi, zonal DIGs, district SSPs, police officers, personnel, and NPF Managing Director Irfan Zaman.
Speaking at the event, Zaman highlighted the NPF’s commitment to police welfare, noting that the Foundation will fund the initial down payment for the plots and contribute Rs50,000 for the first 2,000 plots in the police housing society. He shared that the plan to offer interest-free electric motorcycles on installment originated from IG Sindh’s vision.
IG Sindh commended the NPF’s welfare efforts, applauding the plan to provide services at half the market price. He acknowledged the Rs50,000 contribution toward plot bookings by the NPF and expressed his aspiration for all police officers to own homes. He also confirmed the provision of interest-free motorcycles for Sindh Police personnel.
This scheme will allow police personnel from any district in Sindh to receive care at leading hospitals in Karachi.
