DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A Member of Provincial Assembly of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been attacked in Dera Ismail Khan, the Police said on Monday.

Some miscreants opened gunfire at the house of PTI’s member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly, Aghaz Ikramullah Khan Gandapur, in the city’s tehsil of Kulachi yesterday.

Two police officers who were providing security at Najmul Husnain’s home, according to District Police Officer (DPO) Najmul Husnain, were injured during the shooting incident.

After the gun attack, the unidentified attackers were able to get away.

While being transported to a hospital, one of the injured soldiers passed away as a result of his wounds. The other police officer, who was transferred to the hospital, is being treated for injuries.
