KARACHI: Police have arrested two Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists from the Shah Latif area.
The terrorists are military trained from Afghanistan and had gathered in Karachi to plan an operation. The terrorists were involved in other operations in Afghanistan, including attacks on security forces.
As per reports, hand grenades, passports, illegal weapons, and other documents were recovered from the terrorists’ possession. Accused Razaullah alias Nasir joined TTP in 2011.
Terrorist Habib Noor alias Sher Habib joined TTP in 2008 and was involved in various terrorist activities at the behest of Amir. Proceedings against the terrorists are underway. Police are getting information about the other accomplices and whereabouts of the arrested accused. Further arrests and recovery are expected.
Moreover, the police had earlier on Wednesday claimed to have arrested the main accused nominated in a case related to an abduction bid at Khairpur’s Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU).

Wassan and 15 unidentified persons had been nominated in Khushbo Bhatti’s abduction case at Khairpur’s Ranipur police station. The police said Safdar Wassan has been arrested, the man named by SALU female student Khushbo Bhatti, who attempted to kidnap her.
On December 23, armed men had attempted to kidnap a female student of the Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, according to police. Seven men had stopped a university bus at gunpoint on the national highway near Ranipur and attempted to kidnap a female student.
