Pakistani TV host Ayesha Jahanzeb’s husband, Haris Ali, was arrested on accusations of domestic abuse following a complaint by an anchorwoman.
The Lahore Police detained Haris after a case was filed against him at the Sarwar Road police station. Ayesha, who appeared to be injured, spoke to a private TV station about her experience, claiming she had been abused by her husband multiple times over the past year.
She revealed that their marriage had been troubled due to her husband’s secret marriage to another woman. Ayesha disclosed that she had sustained severe injuries from the alleged assault, which led her to file a lawsuit.
Following the police action, Haris Ali was brought before a judicial magistrate, who issued a two-day physical remand.
