LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League N (PMLN) is reported to have decided to table no-confidence motion against Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Speaker Punjab Assembly Sibtain Khan ahead of PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s announcement of the date for the dissolution of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies.
According to multiple media reports, some 106 PML-N members of Punjab Assembly gathered at the residence of Rana Mashood where they signed the no-confidence motion against CM Elahi and Speaker Sibtain Khan.

PM Shehbaz Sharif has also reportedly contacted exiled leader Nawaz Sharif after which he approved party’s strategy to avert dissolution of Punjab Assembly. Tahir Sindhu was quoted as saying that his party would submit no-confidence motion the moment it was ordered by party’s high command.
PMNL leader Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan was quoted as having said that the no-trust move would be submitted anytime today.
Soon after this development, CM Punjab Pervaiz Elahi accompanied by his son Moonis Elahi arrived at Zaman Park residence of PTI Chairman Imran Khan to discuss current political scenario.
It may be recalled here that Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman had reportedly that if Punjab CM Chaudhry Parvez Elahi had the power to dissolve the assembly, so ‘I have the power to ask him to take a vote of confidence.’
