KARACHI: Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX) organized Pakistan Investment Road Show in Multan in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI).
This event was organized during the World Investor Week 2023 by PMEX under the guidance of SECP to spread financial literacy and encourage the culture of savings and investing.
The event comprised of an exhibition showcasing securities brokers, commodities brokers, and leading mutual funds.
Moreover, an awareness seminar was held where Mr. Murtaza Abbas, Joint Director, Investor Education Department, SECP highlighted the regulator’s role in the non-banking financial sector and elaborated on the concepts of investing and savings. PMEX representative spoke about commodities futures trading, with a special emphasis on gold trading at PMEX.
“Our collaboration with PMEX and SECP to bring the Pakistan Capital Market in Multan aimed to equip our city’s business sector with knowledge about safe and wise investment decisions,” President of MCCI Mian Rashid Iqbal said “We are in full support of PMEX’s endeavors and eagerly anticipate making this event a staple every year.”
The Pakistan Investment Road Show attracted more than 500 people, including members of MCCI, business owners, working professionals and media representatives.
