ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has forecast torrential rains in the country.
According to the details, the Meteorological Department said that there will be heavy rain in the coming days in the country, due to which there is a danger of flood in the rivers.
The meteorological department said that showers with strong winds and thundershowers are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and northeastern Balochistan today.
Meteorological Department warns of heavy rain in different cities of Sindh in the next two days, the cities that will receive rain include Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Sukkur, Larkana, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Nawabshah, Dadu, Dera Bugti, Jaffarabad, Naseerabad, Lasbela, and Khuzdar.
The Meteorological Department, while issuing a high alert regarding rains, said that in areas where rains are likely, tourists and citizens should exercise caution and avoid unnecessary travel.
On the other hand, heavy rain fell in different parts of Lahore on Monday night while clouds also fell in Kasur, Chunian, Sheikhupura, Multan, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad.
In addition to DI Khan, different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Chilas and Astor received rains while Kohlu, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Sherani, Dera Bugti, Harnai, Zhob, Dakki, and Kōh-e Sulaymān mountain ranges were clouded. There is low-level flooding in the drains.
Rivers and streams in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Northern Balochistan are at risk of flooding.
