ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is scheduled to leave for Saudi Arabia on Saturday on a one-day visit.
The sudden announcement of the prime minister’s visit to Riyadh came in the wake of the later planned visit of Malaysia to attend a Summit meeting held in Malaysia from 18th to 20th December.
The reports state that Saudi leadership was unhappy with the visit to Kuala Lumpur Summit so in this regard, Imran Khan will fly to Riyadh where the prime minister will assure them that relations between the two countries will remain strong despite Islamabad’s engagement with other Islamic countries.
The Malaysian summit will be attended by Imran Khan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
During this current month, the prime minister will pay a visit to Bahrain, Malaysia, and Switzerland. He will leave for Bahrain on 16th December on a two-day official visit.
The prime minister will leave for Switzerland from Bahrain on 18th December on a two-day official visit. He will address a global conference on refugees in Geneva.
