ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is scheduled to arrive in Qatar on a one-day visit to hold a meeting with his Qatari counterpart Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani to discuss issues of mutual interest.
Along with the prime minister, PM’s Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfikar Bukhari and Special Assistant to PM on Petroleum Nadeem Babar will also accompany him.
Imran Khan will also hold a meeting with investors of Qatar and the business community.
Moreover, Qatar had invited Pakistan to attend the peace signing deal between United States (US) and the Afghan Taliban to be held in Doha on 29th February.
Qatari Ambassador to Pakistan Saqr Bin Mubarak invited Shah Mahmood Qureshi on behalf of the Qatari Foreign Minister during a meeting in Islamabad.
On this occasion, the Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan and Qatar have played a crucial role in furthering the Afghan reconciliation process.
FM Qureshi further said that Pakistan appreciated the peace deal between the United States and the Taliban. He also hoped that the peace deal will lead to the intra-Afghan dialogue.
