ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair the federal cabinet meeting today to discuss a 14-point agenda at the Prime Minister’s office.
The cabinet meeting will consider the political, economic, and coronavirus situation in the country. Approval of the appointment of the Chairman of the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board is part of the agenda.
Approval is also expected for the appointment of the chairman of the National Commission for Human Rights. Approval of notifications from members of the Press Council of Pakistan will also be discussed.
During the meeting, the approval of the Anti-Trafficking Ordinance will be sicussed. A briefing will also be given on the process of appointment of CEOs of key public sector enterprises.
The cabinet will ratify the decisions of the Economic Co-ordination Committee (ECC) last month on 28th October and 4th November. Confirmation of the decisions of the committee on legislative cases on 21st October and 5th November is also part of the agenda.

It is also expected to ratify the 29th October decision of the Institutional Reforms Committee and approve duty and tax exemption on the import of goods.
The establishment of the Pakistan Medical Authority and the appointment of the chairman of the National Medical and Dental Academic Board are also likely to be announced in the cabinet meeting. The Home Ministry will brief the cabinet on the streamlining of visa policy.
