ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee meeting in the evening today over political situation in the country.
In this regard, Senior party leadership, including Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar have been called for the meeting.
During the core committee meeting, the discussion over the special court’s verdict of sentencing former president Pervez Musharraf to death in high treason case will be discussed.
The political situation over all will also be discussed during the meeting. The prime minister who is currently in Geneva will not attend the Kuala Lumpur Summit being held from today to 21st December.
This development came after the prime minister’s visit to Saudia Arabia before leaving for the forum in Switzerland. However, it is reported that the prime minister postponed the Kuala Lumpur Summit as Saudi Arabia was not happy with the premier’s decision to attend the summit.
