ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has convened a meeting of parliamentary party leaders today to discuss current political situation in the country.

According to the details made available to MM News, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif convened a meeting of heads of allied parliamentary parties later today. The heads of Pakistan People’s Party, Muttahida Qaumi Movement, JUI and parties who are part of PDM-led coalition are expected to to attend the meeting which will be followed by a dinner.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to take the allied parties into confidence regarding the key decisions of the government.
The meeting will take place after a tweet by ISPR in which it announced to have sent a summary to the Ministry of Defense, The ISPR said the summary contained names of 6 most senior Generals for selection to the posts of of CJCSC and COAS.

It is pertinent to mention here that PM Shehbaz Sharif has also summoned a crucial meeting of the federal cabinet today to discuss one point agenda, i.e. appointment of the new Army Chief.
