PM Shehbaz lays foundation stone of C-5 nuclear power project

CHASHMA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has laid the foundation stone of the Chashma Nuclear Power Plant aka C-5 nuclear power project.

Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir, Ahsan Iqbal, and Chinese officials were with the Prime Minister, C-5 nuclear power project will generate 1200 MW of electricity, and the establishment of the -5 nuclear power project will reduce the shortfall of electricity by 1200 MW.

It should be remembered that the agreement of the C-5 nuclear power project was signed in 2017, the project was delayed for the last 5 years, but due to the efforts of the prime minister, the cost was reduced, and the capacity was increased from 1100 to 1200 megawatts.

Under the Prime Minister’s vision of low-cost and environment-friendly electricity, work on the project is resuming.
