ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed his condolences over the death of his British counterpart Boris Johnson’s mother while Charlotte Johnson passed away at a London hospital.
In a message on Twitter, the prime minister wrote, “I offer my condolences to my counterpart Boris Johnson on the death of his mother.” In his condolence message, PM Imran Khan further said that my prayers, sympathies, and best wishes are with Boris Johnson and his family in these difficult times.”

Earlier on Tuesday, Boris Johnson’s 79-year-old mother, Charlotte Johnson, a well-known professional artist, died. He opened his eyes in 1942 at Oxford. Born to Sir James Fawcett, Charlotte Johnson became President of the European Commission on Human Rights and married the father of the current British Prime Minister in 1963.

After marrying Stanley, Charlotte Johnson had four children. The couple separated in 1979. Charlotte Johnson remarried American Professor Nicholas Wahl. It may be recalled that earlier, the prime minister had a telephone conversation with his British counterpart Boris Johnson.
The two prime ministers discussed various issues three months ago while also discussing bilateral relations, the situation in the region, and the Afghan peace process. PM Imran Khan appreciated Boris Johnson’s efforts to deal with Corona effectively.
