ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Hafizabad today to lay the foundation stone for a university and a hospital.
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Punjab on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said the prime minister will also address the public meeting on this occasion. He will also announce the expansion of the Insaf Sehat Card.
She said the university will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 4.5 billion rupees while the new 400-bed facility District Headquarters Hospital building will cost two billion rupees.
Deputy Commissioner of the district has notified a local holiday on the occasion. He claimed that the step had been taken to avert traffic congestion as the arrival time of the prime minister could coincide with the closing time of educational institutions.
Awan said the provision of education and health facilities is the priority of PTI government and backward districts are being developed. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar will also address the rally.
