ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has called for a luncheon of coalition members of the National Assembly and senators at which important issues including legislation at the national level will be discussed.
According to details, a luncheon will be held today in honor of the prime minister’s coalition members National Assembly and Senate in which members of coalition parties on various national issues will be taken into confidence.
The government faces various challenges when it comes to legislation. Yesterday, in the National Assembly, the weight of the opposition was heavier than that of the government, on which the PTI leadership is concerned.
A joint sitting of parliament will be held tomorrow in which legislation on electoral reforms is expected. The legislation will also be enacted on other issues, including the Kulbhushan Jadhav case.

The prime minister directed the members of PTI and allied parties to ensure their participation in the joint sitting of parliament while the opposition was engaged in anti-government activities. The United Opposition has completed the consultation process led by the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif to stop the government’s legislation.
The opposition decided to attend the joint parliamentary session with full attendance. Sources said that the prime minister’s luncheon could block the proceedings of the opposition.
