LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that projects like Ravi Riverfront Urban Development are made with determination, this is an important project for the future of Pakistan.
The prime minister expressed these views while addressing the inaugural function of Smart Forest at Rakh Jhok Forest, Sheikhupura. Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated Pakistan’s first smart forest by planting trees in Sheikhupura. He said, “We knew from day one that this is a very difficult project, if this project was not difficult, then it would have been built by Shehbaz Sharif in the past but he could not build it.
This project will add $40 billion to our economy and will provide employment opportunities to one million people, the prime minister said. An important project of Rakh Jhok Forest Ravi Urban Development Authority covers 24000 kanals of land. It will be the first smart forest in Pakistan to be equipped with smart sensors and surveillance systems. A memorandum of understanding was also signed on the occasion to make technology giant Huawei a smart partner in the project.
Addressing the function, PM Imran Khan said, “I want to pay tribute to the Chief Minister of Punjab, his team, and the entire administration and especially to Imran Amin because this is a great project in the history of Pakistan. They are on this path and they are going to work which inshallah politicians and administrators will see. It is possible that you can also build a new modern city.”
“The biggest thing is that we have started planting trees for our future generations. You can tell them that if we want to leave a better Pakistan for our generations, it is very important that the whole nation,” he maintained.
