ISLAMABAD: Senior Pakistani journalist, Hamid Mir, today (Monday) has claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s live interaction with people via telephone was recorded.
“People were interacting with the Prime Minister after 7.30 pm even though it was supposed to be done at 4 pm. The Prime Minister’s telephone call program was recorded,” the senior political journalist claimed.
He further said that the tradition of listening to telephone calls was introduced by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. “Imran Khan should do something new and listen to the live call,” he added.

“Ex-Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani used to listen to the telephone calls live on the first day of every month and they were also broadcast on PTV. Imran Khan should also listen to the live calls,” he maintained.

In another tweet, Hamid Mir said that most of the questions were political, although priority should have been given to questions about public issues.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister spoke to the masses via telephone and answered different questions. The calls were broadcast on television. Pakistani citizens asked questions related to different issues, including COVID-19 vaccine, issues of Balochistan, and the concept of Riyasat-e-Madina.
