ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Sialkot on December 9 to formally launch the newly established private airline, AirSial.
According to sources, PM Imran Khan will also address a special ceremony at the Sialkot International Airport Sialkot on December 9. Earlier, while charing the federal cabinet meeting, the PM had approved the issuance of an aviation license to AirSial.
On Sunday, three Airbus A320-200s of AirSial — the airline launched by Sialkot’s business community — arrived at the Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, from Phoenix, Arizona, via Egypt.
The privately-owned airline was granted permission to run its operations by the Aviation Division in 2017. It also plans to launch flights to foreign destinations.

Flights will begin with routes between cities such as Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. The local airline also has plans to launch international operations at a later stage. It is said to be considering countries such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and Malaysia.
