ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the nation today over the on-going coronavirus disease.
The prime minister will advise the nation to take safety measures as the disease spreads.
The immediate decision of the meeting was made following the emerging number of coronavirus cases in the country as Pakistan’s tally reaches 193 today.
In a separate interview, the prime minister demanded the international community to lift restrictions on Iran in order to help the country fight coronavirus.
He also urged the community to provide debt relief to under-developed countries already suffering from the coronavirus. Debt relief would enable economically unstable countries to fight the disease, he added.
The country had reported the second death of suspected coronavirus patients in Lahore. The patient admitted to Lahore’s Mayo Hospital died. The patient identified as Imran was the resident of Hafizabad.
In this regard, Foreign Office earlier today announced the suspension of all walk-in consular services from 18th March till 3rd April due to the Covid-19 spread.
The decision has been taken to tackle the growing threats of coronavirus, Farooqui further clarified that the attestation of power of attorney will not be changed in this time phase.
