ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has convened a meeting of the Federal Cabinet tomorrow.
According to details, the federal cabinet will meet on Thursday to approve the mini-budget. The prime minister also convened a meeting of the PTI parliamentary party on December 30.
Members of the Assembly will be briefed on the mini-budget in which petrol, mobile phones, stationery, and packaged food items are expected to become more expensive.
According to reports in the Pakistani media regarding the mini-budget, women’s make-up will also be expensive. Around 350 billion tax breaks will be abolished.

According to media reports quoting sources, more than 1700 items will be taxed in the mini-budget. Imports of luxury items will also be taxed.
Similarly, the new mini-budget is expected to increase federal excise duty on vehicles by 2.5 percent and sales tax on tractors by 5 percent. Imported clothes, perfume, and shoes will also be expensive.
