Let’s just agree, India’s famous film industry called Bollywood is best at making movies and entertaining audiences but unfortunately, when it comes to creating good music, the industry lacks.
Plagiarism in India is not new as Bollywood is known for copying Pakistani songs, without even giving them due credit. After the recent plagiarism case claimed by Abrar-ul-Haq against Karan Johar who copied Haq’s song and used it in his upcoming movie, people are talking about how the industry steals the song and easily gets away without giving Pakistani singers the credit.
India does not only plagiarise music from Pakistan, they even copy from Arab, Korea, and Hollywood. The irony, this is not the first time Bollywood has copiedHaq’s song; here are five times when Bollywood fearlessly copied Pakistani songs that were sung by Abrar-ul-Haq.
Nach Punjaban
Karan Johar’s upcoming movie ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’ – which stars Anil Kapoor along with Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Neeti Singh, and Manish Paul features ‘Nach Punjaban’ which was originally sung by Haq in 2002.

Indian music composer Pritam Chakraborty copied Haq’s ‘Bheega Bheega Sa December’ and turned into ‘Janam Bhoomi Pe’ for movie ‘Chocolate’.
Billo
His famous ‘Billo’ was stolen and used They copied Billo and made ‘Mera Dil leygai o Kamo Kider’ for Sunny Deol’s movie ‘Ziddi’ which was released in 1997.

Asaan Teri Gal Karni
Haq’s ‘Asaan Teri Gal Karni’ was copied to be used in Bollywood movies not only once but twice by music composers Herry Anand and Himesh Reshammiya.
Aja Beja Cycle
The famous ‘Aja Beja Cycle’ sung by Haq was copied by Altaf Raja who is an Indian singer. This is not the only song he had copied from Pakistan. he has stolen many of our songs which were famous at that time.
