Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a reduction in Umrah fares for a limited time. According to an announcement by the airline’s spokesperson, Umrah pilgrims traveling to Madinah from Pakistan will benefit from discounted fares.
Under the new discounted fares, the round-trip fare for Umrah from Karachi to Madinah will be Rs76,000 plus tax, while the round-trip fare from Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, and Sialkot to Madinah will be Rs86,000 plus taxes.
These discounted fares are effective immediately and will remain in place until July 15. Previously, the fare was Rs120,000; with a reduction of Rs34,000, it is now Rs86,000.
It should be noted that most Umrah pilgrims from Pakistan land at Jeddah Airport, which is closer to Makkah. After performing Umrah in the holy city, the pilgrims go to Madinah. Therefore, only a small number of pilgrims will benefit from the reduction in PIA fares.
Currently, the Hajj operation is underway, with numerous flights carrying Hajj pilgrims landing in various cities of Pakistan every day.
