PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court0 (PHC) has issued directives to the local government to ensure no roadways are forcibly shut down in reference to the ‘Azadi March’.
The court ordered concerned authorities to keep roadways open till the city of Attock and stop anyone found trying to place containers to block traffic flow.

The court also remarked that it was the responsibility of media to give both, the government and the opposition equal amount of coverage time.

The orders further asked the participants of the march to exercise self-discipline and make sure that the protest remained civil.

The Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman earlier in October announced an anti-government ‘Azadi March’ to take place in Islamabad on 31st October 2019.
Maulana Fazl in a statement said they would abide by the agreement under which they would hold a rally in a ground near Islamabad’s H-9 sector and not enter the ‘Red Zone’.
