LAHORE: England’s star all-rounder Liam Livingstone, who is representing Peshawar Zalmi, is out of the remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) seventh edition due to an injury.
Livingstone has not been able to deliver for the Zalmi yet, and injury has forced him out of Peshawar’s remaining matches. He has played four matches for Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing PSL, where he scored only 39 runs and took two wickets.
The franchise announced that the star player has suffered from a finger injury and will leave Pakistan tonight. Livingstone is now the fourth overseas player of Zalmi to get sidelined within a week.
Earlier this week, England’s Saqib Mahmood went back home to prepare for the Test series against West Indies.
Yesterday, West Indies’ Sherfane Rutherford returned home due to family reasons while England’s Tom Kohler-Cadmore was ruled out due to injury.
England’s Benny Howell has joined the Zalmi for the remainder of the competition. Howell is in isolation and was recently involved in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) with Chattogram Challengers.
Peshawar Zalmi has one game left before the play-offs, in which the Yellow Strom will lock horns with Lahore Qalandars at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
