PESHAWAR: The Police Chief of Peshawar claims to have made ‘major arrests’ in connection with Monday bombing of a Mosque, located in Red Zone Police Lines, claiming lives of 101 people and injuring more than 200.

Talking to British news agency, Peshawar police chief Ijaz Khan said police are investigating how the suicide bomber entered the highly-secured police area, and could not rule out internal assistance to carry out the attack.
It is pertinent to mention here that the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has distanced itself from the bombing.

Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department in a statement issued on Wednesday said that the death toll in the attack has increased to 101 after another injured person succumbed to his wounds.
