A husband who killed his pregnant wife and staged her suicide has been arrested.
According to a report, the suspect was arrested in the Budh Bair area of Peshawar for killing his wife and attempting to make it appear as a suicide. Police reported that five days ago, the suspect shot his wife in a domestic dispute, resulting in her death.
Authorities stated that the murder weapon was recovered during the investigation, and a case has been registered under the complaint of the woman’s father. The police further confirmed that the deceased woman was pregnant, and the hospital has verified this.
It is worth noting that last week, a husband was arrested in Peshawar’s Tehkal area for the alleged murder of his wife. Police stated that the woman had been married for 22 days, and her husband had initially attempted to make the incident look like a suicide.
The husband, Bilal Haider, was arrested following a request from the woman’s father. Authorities added that there were marks on the victim’s neck, and they are awaiting the medical report for further details.
