KARACHI: Heavy rains are expected in parts of Sindh including its capital city, Hyderabad, Badin, and Thatta from July 1 to 5.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority has issued an advisory in this regard. According to reports, there is a danger of urban flooding in Karachi and Hyderabad from July 3 to 5 due to torrential rains.
The PDMA, while issuing the advisory, said that the management of the concerned agencies should be ready to deal with urban flooding and other threats.

The PDMA said it was important to ensure the availability of staff and machines for drainage to deal with potential hazards. Emergency helpline should be made available to help the needy, and generators and other machines should be provided for an uninterrupted supply of electricity in hospitals. The PDMA has issued special instructions to fishermen not to go to sea from July 3 to 5.
