ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has convened a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security on December 6 in which the central leaders of the parliamentary parties were invited to attend.
According to details, a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security will be held on December 6 under the chairmanship of the Speaker National Assembly in which central leaders of all parties including PTI, PML-N, and PPP will participate.
Reliable sources said that Dr. Moeed Yousuf Malik, Advisor to the Prime Minister on National Security will give a briefing on the security situation in the parliamentary committee meeting chaired by the Speaker and other important issues including Afghanistan will be discussed.

Apart from the security situation in Afghanistan and the region, internal security issues will also be discussed during the meeting. The PTI government will take the participants of the meeting in confidence on the security situation in the country.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had barred members of the federal cabinet from leaving the country due to the current economic and security situation. The overall economic, security, and political situation of the country was discussed during the meeting of the federal cabinet on Tuesday. The prime minister directed the federal ministers not to leave the country.
