JERUSALEM: On Wednesday, Palestinians demonstrated against the controversial peace agreement of President Donald Trump, which provides Israel a green light to annex key parts of the occupied West Bank.
The demonstrations, including isolated conflicts, highlighted the depth of anger with a plan viewed as overwhelmingly in favor of Israeli goals drafted without any Palestinian feedback.

President Donald Trump, who announced the proposal at the White House on Tuesday standing next to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with no Palestinian officials on hand, said his strategy might be successful where others have failed.
However, it provides Israel much of what it has desired in decades of international diplomacy, including, influence over Jerusalem as its ‘ undivided ‘ capital, instead of a city to share with the Palestinians.
It also provides U.S. permission for Israel to occupy the strategically important Jordan Valley which covers about 30 percent of the West Bank as well as other Jewish structures in the area.
